This section provides information on tourism and hospitality education. More specifically, this section offers the information regarding HTM department programs available for the U.S. as well as for other countries. Both academic and non-degree educational programs are available in association with T@P.
Purdue University , through the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, has offered academic programs in hospitality and tourism since 1984, which includes Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, and Ph.D. degree.
Purdue HTM offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) program with three major areas: Lodging, Tourism, and Foodservice Management. Past graduates of the four-year program emphasizing tourism management have entered careers in convention and visitor bureaus (CVBs), state tourism offices, tour operators, incentive travel planning companies, theme parks and attractions, retail travel agencies, convention/meeting planning and sales, airlines, and cruise lines.
