First-year
students have a great way to make friends and learn the ropes at
Purdue: learning communities. By joining a learning community, you
attend two to three classes with students in your community and
attend out-of-class programs and trips led by your instructors.
If you choose the residence option, you will even live on the same
floor as other students in your community. Research shows that students
who take part in a learning community earn higher grades, make friends
faster, and graduate at higher or faster rates than students who
don't participate.
Currently, there are four learning
communities for CFS students:
- CFS Honors
- Global Consumer 2050
- Team HTM
- Entrepreneurial
