Your Day on Campus Schedule
After Day on Campus
Day on Campus (DOC) is Purdue University’s summer orientation program for incoming first-year students. You should plan to spend an entire day here on campus (7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). During Day on Campus, you will be able to:
- Ask any questions you might have
- Attend a CFS orientation presentation
- Tour the campus
- Meet with an academic advisor and register for classes
- Attend a financial aid information session
- Visit the Matthews Hall Computer Lab to set up challenge questions for your account
- Take advanced credit exams and placement exams (e.g. foreign language, math)
- Have your picture taken and your Purdue University Identification (PUID) card created
- Visit your residence hall and eat a meal on campus
- Turn in your medical and insurance forms
- Learn more about and sign up for Boiler Gold Rush, Learning Communities, and other opportunities for first-year students
- Visit a place of personal interest: Athletic facilities, Study Abroad, ROTC, Purdue Bands, Adaptive Services, Horizons, etc.
Your parents and other family members are welcome to join you as you make your first official visit to campus as a Purdue student. Invitations to Day on Campus will be mailed from the Office of Admissions in early May to all students who have sent in their $100 advance deposit.

IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND DAY ON CAMPUS...
Attending Day on Campus is exceedingly important. However, we understand that, for various reasons, not everyone can attend. If you are unable to attend Day on Campus, please contact CFS Undergraduate Student Services at (765) 494-8533 or cfsundergrad@purdue.edu. We will help you connect with your academic advisor so you can get the assistance you need to begin your transition to Purdue.
