Consumer and Family Sciences Extension provides informal educational programs that increase knowledge, influence attitudes, teach skills, and inspire aspirations. Through the adoption and application of these practices, the quality of individual, family, and community life is improved. CFS Extension addresses family resource management, foods and nutrition, and human development issues.

Office of Professional Development is the continuing education provider in the College of Consumer and Family Sciences. Established in January 2002, the office provides educational and professional programs that advance the economic standing and quality of life of families, consumers, and businesspersons relevant to the college's mission and scope of activities.
