The
College of Consumer and Family Sciences believes top students deserve
rewards. The college offers several scholarships to recognize academic
achievement, including Dean's Merit Scholarships of up to $4,000
annually for four years. A student's financial need or major area
of study may also play a part in the selection process. In addition,
scholarships are available to students who participate in a study
abroad program.

Dean's Merit Scholarships (back to top)
Scholarships of up to
$4,000 per year are available to CFS students who demonstrate high
academic performance. No separate application is necessary. Students will be notified if they receive a scholarship when they are admitted.
A complete admission application must be on file with the Office of Admissions no later than November 15, 2008, to be considered.

Study
Abroad Scholarships (back to top)
The College of Consumer
and Family Sciences has a number of scholarships specifically for
students who are studying abroad. Information on CFS Study Abroad Scholarships for 2009 programs will be available on October 15. In addition, the Programs
for Study Abroad Office offers scholarships.
Division
of Financial Aid (back to top)
It is extremely important for students to utilize the resources
of the Division of Financial Aid. To be considered for some scholarships
in the College of Consumer and Family Sciences, financial need must
be demonstrated. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
must be filed annually to be considered for aid.
For the 2007–08 academic year (fall 2007, spring 2008, summer 2008), you must file the 2007–08 FAFSA. You will need 2006 income information. The Purdue University,
West Lafayette, Federal School Code is 001825.
For the 2008-09 academic
year, (fall 2008, spring 2009, summer 2009)you must file the 2008-09 FAFSA (available January 1, 2008).
