Change of Degree Objective
(CODO) means to transfer from one curriculum to another within the
University.
Consumer and
Family Sciences CODO Policies
CFS welcomes CODO students.
We are eager to attract students who are truly interested in our
majors. All CFS students are expected to:
- Fulfill all requirements for graduation
- Honor prerequisites and course sequencing
- Honor course enrollment limits; accepting the fact that if a
class is full or restricted to students who are currently in the
major, they will have to postpone their enrollment to another
semester.
We will be happy to work
with each prospective CODO student to develop a REALISTIC plan of
study. Upon receipt of this plan of study, we expect each student
to decide if this plan fits his/her timeline for graduation.
To determine CODO requirements for CFS majors, please go to the Office of the Registrar's Web site.
If you are a current Purdue student who is interested in CODOing into the Bachelor of Science or the Associate Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM) or Selling and Sales Management (SSM), you are required to attend a CODO information meeting. You must sign up for a meeting in person in the CFS Undergraduate Student Services Office in Stone Hall, Room 110.
Any student who wishes to attend a CODO meeting MUST have a minimum unadjusted GPA of 2.0 or higher and be in good academic standing. Any student who is on academic probation is not eligible to attend a CODO meeting. If you do not meet these requirements and are interested in HTM or SSM, please call CFS Undergraduate Student Services at 494-8533 to set up an appointment with an academic advisor.
