Outreach

Outreach is where impact meets access. Through engagement, Hoosiers and communities throughout Indiana can benefit from the research and resources of the College of Consumer and Family Sciences at Purdue University.

The research in our college is applied and goes hand-in-hand with our engagement activities, which are focused on solving the real challenges people face every day — things like eating better, living healthier, finding quality child care, being better parents, reducing family debt, planning for retirement, and balancing work with family.

Much of the college’s outreach efforts are through Consumer and Family Sciences Extension, which provides educational programs and information in the areas of:

• Children and Families
• Food and Health
• Home and Money

We are also engaged in partnerships with community organizations, business and industry, and state government. To effect the most change and fulfill our mission to enhance quality of life, we must partner with others who share a similar mission.
