ADMISSION
REQUIREMENTS
Applications
are accepted for fall admission only. Admission requirements
include:
- completed
application form;
-
transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate courses taken;
- statement
of educational goals and career objectives;
- Graduate
Record Exam (GRE) verbal and quantitative test scores;
- three
letters of recommendation; and
-
autobiographical statement of no more than 1,500 words.
S
tudents applying to the doctoral program (see DEGREES OFFERED –
provide link) are required to hold a Master’s degree from a
COAMFTE accredited program or have a Master’s degree from a
related area and can provide evidence that they have completed
the Standard Curriculum as defined by the COAMFTE. Students
without a Master’s degree or a degree that does not meet the
COAMFTE Standard Curriculum are strongly encouraged to apply to
our partner program
Purdue-University,
Calumet Campus (see Degrees Offered).
Finalists chosen for admission are invited to the campus for
personal interviews with each MFT faculty member. After
completing the interviews, the MFT faculty make their
recommendations for admission to the departmental Graduate
Committee, and those selected are invited to join the MFT
program.
