Military Families on the Move

Changes of station are a fact of life in the military. They challenge families on many levels and across all aspects of family life. They have the potential to affect child and family adjustment, academic success, family stability, member commitment and military readiness. This study allows the MFRI research team the opportunity to learn more about the PCS moving experience, and then share the positive aspects of these transitions with other families. In this research study, we examine the opportunities and challenges, potential outcomes, and the factors that help families and children successfully respond to PCS moves.
