Camp Location and Amenities
Located in West Lafayette, Ind., Purdue University is the host site for Operation Purple, held on June 1-7, 2008. The base location for camp is Meredith Hall, a residence hall where campers will sleep and dine. Kids will stay in double-rooms with two campers per room. Campers will get three full meals each day.

Meredith Hall features a computer lab, large front porch and lawn, and other common meeting places for small group activities. The hall is located next to the recreational sports complex, where many of the outdoor and indoor activities, such as games, archery, judo and swimming, will take place.

Campers will also spend time on the Purdue University Boiler Challenge Ropes Course. This course features low and high ropes activities that are designed to challenge students to think creatively while pushing them work as a team to solve problems.

Off campus, students will complete a service learning project. Campers will also spend one day traveling to an armor museum in a nearby town and canoe down Sugar Creek.

Medical Care and Insurance
Medical needs will be administered through the Purdue University Student Health Center. All campers are covered by a blanket insurance policy covering injuries sustained at camp, up to a maximum of $5,000. Coverage does not extend to pre-existing conditions. A licensed physician must sign the registration form. A school medical form signed no more than 12 months prior to camp is also acceptable. No medical forms will be returned. All registrations must include a completed medical form in order to secure a space.
