Small Grant Program for Indiana Family Readiness Groups
Call for Proposals
One of the primary missions of the Military Family Research Institute at Purdue University
is to assist the paid and unpaid workers who support Indiana’s military families.
We know that Family Readiness Groups work very hard to support the families of
deployed service members through a wide array of services. Often this type of support
is the result of relationships developed with local community partners to raise funds,
provide family and parent training opportunities, offer children’s programming, and
support deployed troops with package mailings.
MFRI is pleased to offer small monetary grants of up to $2,500 to support Indiana Family Readiness Groups. The
MFRI Small Grant Program was designed to assist FRGs to do their work more effectively and to strengthen community
partnerships that support military families. The grants may be used to award funds to community partners
to assist the FRG. For example, if the local library would be willing to create a collection of books aimed at helping
military families, the FRG leader and the library could prepare a joint proposal.
