The
School of Consumer and Family Sciences raised $15 million during
its Inspiring Families, Building Communities planned giving campaign
(July 1, 1998-December 31, 2001). The goal for the campaign was
$10 million, to be used for faculty support, scholarships, the Center
for Families, and unrestricted funds for future needs.
Of
the $15 million, $10 million was raised in planned gifts or endowments
from 75 individuals or couples. More than 4,000 donors contributed
$5 million in annual and corporate support.
CFS
surpassed the $10 million goal due to the loyalty and generosity
of outstanding alumni and friends. Every gift counts toward the
future excellence of students, faculty, and alumni of our school
and the quality of life of our nation and world.
Future
Support (Unrestricted Gifts)
These donors provided approximately $2.1 million in support for
current and future programs of the School of Consumer and Family
Sciences.
