A world of opportunities awaits study abroad students in the Department of Nutrition Science. Two curriculum-specific study abroad options are now available for many of our classes at the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) in Ireland and at Curtin University in Perth, Australia.
These are unique study abroad experiences for dietetics and other nutrition majors at Purdue because students can take courses required for their nutrition and foods curriculum and not just electives or general education courses.
In addition to the programs at DIT and Curtin, there is a study abroad trip to Roanne, France, offered during the summer that explores the French Paradox as it relates to nutrition, dietary patterns, and cultural practices.
Many students will work abroad or have an international component to a job over the course of their professional career. Study abroad is an important curriculum initiative to support the careers of tomorrow.
