French Villa

French Culture, Food, and Health Study Abroad

May 2012
Join us this summer for a stay in Riorges, Grand Roanne, in the heart of Burgandy, France.  This one week program offers the chance to earn 2 credits as you experience the exquisite culinary and cultural delights of France.  You will enjoy the peaceful surroundings of a French Villa between daily excursions to the local outdoor market, a vineyard, oil press, and chocolate maker.

Scientists have been baffled about the observation that the French eat delicious, rich food and yet their rates of heart disease are less than the rates of Americans.  Your participation in a wine and cheese class and cooking classes will aid your exploration of the phenomenon called the French Paradox.
