Research Facilities

As a part of dramatic departmental growth, we have increased and improved our research facilities. In the fall of 2003, we had approximately 20,000 square feet of overall research space, with 4,713 square feet newly remodeled within the last 10 years. The department offers excellent facilities for both molecular, cellular, biochemical, and clinical studies. However, while a variety of facilities that enhance the clinical research capability have been developed, the clinical research capabilities have clearly outgrown the available space. In the fall of 2004, the department acquired laboratory space in Matthews Hall that is currently under renovation, as is office and adapted laboratory space in Stone Hall.
