Students who are interested in food science have several
options:
- If your interest is in how foods or food components influence
the health of people or animals, you should apply to the
INP. The INP has faculty with expertise in food toxicology,
sensory evaluation, product formulation, botanicals, and
consumer behavior.
- If you are interested in nutrition in aging populations,
you may choose to complete a Dual-Title PhD in Gerontology or you may complete a Graduate
Certificate in Gerontology while you are studying
for your degree. Please notify us of your interest in
the personal statement that is a part of your application
or in the information you supply us before applying.
