    DISCOVERY

My laboratory focuses on eating patterns such as snacking, eating frequency, breakfast skipping, dietary variety, taste preferences, and eating food prepared away from home, and their interactions with dietary composition factors such as fiber consumption and selection of whole foods. Specifically, we are interested in the contribution of different eating patterns and diet compositions to overeating and weight gain, and how they may best be managed for weight loss and prevention of weight regain. We are also interested in how personality, attitude, and psychological disposition may affect eating patterns and vice-versa. An additional focus of my laboratory is improvement in dietary, physical activity, and body composition assessment methods.
