The CSR Advisory Committee provides volunteer leadership for program development, donor cultivation, industry partnerships, and activities that support the mission of the department. Committee members are selected based on their ability and willingness to provide leadership, contribute financially, and provide necessary linkages with alumni, friends, and industry partners who are able to engage in leadership and financial support to the department.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and counsel the head and faculty as appropriate about strategic and industry issues pertinent to the department.
  • Serve on task forces or sub-committees as requested to address strategic activities in the department.
  • Set an example in private giving by making an annual leadership gift at the Purdue President's Council level (minimum of $1,000 annually).
  • Provide feedback on marketing and communication materials as requested.
  • Assist in the identification, recruitment, and participation of other volunteers.
  • Attend annual committee meetings and, when possible, other events sponsored by the department.
  • Participate in classroom, internship, and mentoring activities with students, when available and appropriate.
  • Assist department with the identification of individual, corporate, and/or foundation donor prospects.
  • Act as an advocate for the department's programs and serve as a leader for the department's strategic objectives.
