Most CDFS students engage in an internship or student teaching on a full-time basis for an entire semester in their senior year. Internships are based in a variety of agency settings and geographic locations. Each internship placement is tailored to the professional interests and needs of the student.

Student teaching is a high point of the senior year for students majoring in early childhood education and exceptional needs. Student teaching occurs in early childhood classrooms that include children with and without disabilities. Placements are available in a variety of settings throughout the Greater Lafayette area.
