International Service Marketing & Management in Dubai and Oman
December 28, 2009 –January 11 , 2010
Join us for a two-week experience in the warm destinations of Dubai and Oman. Students will study the current trends and critical issues pertaining to international service marketing and management. Topics include customer relations management, cross-cultural human resources, international selling, and other marketing and management concepts as applied to retailing, hospitality, and tourism industries. Case studies from Dubai and Oman will be used for illustrations of best practices and challenges. This is an intensive credit-earning course involving assignments before, during, and after the fieldtrip.

Program Highlights
- Hotel accommodations including breakfast and some meals
- All ground transportation in Dubai and Oman
- Guided tours to numerous historic and cultural sites such as the Mystical Dubai Tour to experience both the modern and the ancient Dubai, Mall of the Emirates Tour with the Mall Management, and a full-day Abu Dhabi City Tour and educational sites
Eligibility
- All Purdue majors with good academic standing
Fees and Scholarships
- Estimated $2,831 per person in Dubai and Oman plus international airfare. The rate is subject to change pending University final approval.
- The John and Emma Tse Scholarship is applicable for this program. Other study abroad scholarships are available through Purdue Study Abroad.
Course Credit
- HTM and CSR majors can use the credits to meet curriculum requirements. Students of other majors can apply the credits as electives.
