International Marketing by Not-for-Profits (Colombia)

Explore the Colombian culture and enjoy the excitement of tropical South America as you travel with Ambassadors for Children on an excursion to Cartagena, Colombia. This one-week program offers the chance to earn 3 credit hours as you enjoy the sun, the ocean, and the fulfillment of helping needy children. The trip includes a tour of the city, a visit to the University of Cartagena, local cuisine and dancing, and you'll meet with local businesses.

Program Highlights

  • Tour historical Cartagena sites and learn about the Colombian culture
  • Tour the University of Cartagena
  • Meet with entrepreneurs and business leaders to learn how business is conducted in Colombia
  • Plan and execute a silent auction fundraiser in Cartagena
  • Work with local disadvantaged children -- distribute donated items (shoes, toys, and school and hygiene supplies), paint a mural in a hospital, and provide lunch for children with cystic fibrosis
  • Enjoy ocean-view beachfront hotel accommodations
  • Participate in Colombian dancing and cooking lessons
  • Snorkel in crystal clear waters of the Atlantic and visit a natural aquarium complete with dolphin show
  • Enjoy the sun, fun, and the two oceans in Cartagena
