European Tourism & Franchise Businesses

June 25-August 1, 2010

This program will introduce students to three of the diverse cultures in Europe. Starting with five days in France, students will explore Paris and spend a day along the northern Normandy coast. From there, travel overnight by train to Munich and spend a few days exploring that ancient city. Finally students will travel to Vienna, Austria, to spend four weeks. Students will have one 4-day weekend and two 3-day weekends to explore such locations as Prague, Czech Republic, which is three hours from Vienna, and Budapest, Hungary, also about three hours away and Venice, Italy, about 6 hours south of Vienna by train.

Fees and Scholarships

  • Cost for this trip is $4,500 plus airfare (estimated).
  • The application process for a Tse Scholarship is now closed. Visit Purdue Study Abroad for other scholarships that may available.

Course Credit

  • HTM 39800 (6 credits equivalent to HTM 31400, HTM 37200)
  • HTM 31500 (Franchising in Europe)
  • Optional 3 credit Independent Study
