Global Tourism Geography and Sustainable Tourism

Join us on a trip Downunder to Australia’s most popular tourist destinations. The trip will visit the vibrant city of Sydney, the wine region of the Hunter Valley, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, and the Great Barrier Reef. This cross-disciplinary course is intended to expose you to all aspects of the Australian tourism system. Culturally you will enjoy the best of Australia’s cuisine as well as experience Australia’s dynamic contemporary lifestyle. In addition, we will examine how different tourism organizations are working to ensure Australia’s tourism sustainability. On-campus classes during the semester will be used to supplement your learning and prepare you for the journey.

Fees and Scholarships

  • Cost for this trip is $5,000 plus airfare (estimated).
