CFS Dean's Student Advisory Panel
The panel is comprised of nine undergraduate students who advise the dean on policies, procedures, and programs affecting undergraduates in the college. The group meets twice during the fall and spring semesters with the CFS dean, and members are invited to attend special events and activities at the invitation of the dean.
CFS Student Ambassadors
This group of 20–25 CFS students serve as college representatives for recruiting, development, and alumni activities. Among their responsibilities, ambassadors attend and speak at alumni events, and talk with prospective students and their parents.
CFS Student Council
Council members represent all CFS departments and aim to provide opportunities for enhanced communication between the students, faculty, and administration of the college and the Purdue community.
Multicultural Society for Excellence
The Multicultural Society for Excellence strives to develop students of excellence who are prepared to assume roles in a global society. It also serves as a support system for multicultural students in CFS and as a liaison between students and the administration.

Honor Societies
- Gamma Sigma Delta is an honor society for students in the colleges of Consumer and Family Sciences, Agriculture, and the School of Veterinary Medicine.
- Kappa Omicron Nu is a national honor society for students in CFS. Undergraduates who have completed 45 semester hours with at least a 3.0 GPA and are in the top 25 percent of their unit are invited to join. Graduate students with at least a 3.5 grade point average also are invited to join.
American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences
The Professional/Graduate Section is an affiliate section of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences which promotes the mission of the profession of family and consumer sciences. Membership is open to anyone in the College of Consumer and Family Sciences.
