Eligibility and Nomination Process
The Inspiring Families and Building Communities Award is presented annually by the College of Consumer and Family Sciences to recognize community collaborations that improve the quality of life for Indiana families.

Who qualifies for the award?

Any organization, program, or collaboration that has demonstrated exemplary service to Indiana families.

Endorsement of a community foundation
-
Youth organizations that serve both caregivers and children will be considered

Self-nominations of an organization, program, or collaboration are welcome
How to nominate an organization, program, or collaboration for the Award:
- Complete the nomination form as described. Secure the signature of the community foundation endorsing the nomination. Find your Community Foundation.
- Nominator should mail to the address provided.
How are nominations reviewed?
- A panel of reviewers designated by the dean of the College of Consumer and Family Sciences will review the nominations.
- Exemplary work which has improved the lives of Indiana families.
- Applications which have demonstrated the effectiveness of programs through ongoing assessment have been favorably reviewed in past years.
- Documented effort on behalf of an organization, program, or collaboration that has impacted family well-being within the community.
What does the winner receive?

A $1,000-$1,500 cash award to the winning organization

Up to $500 cash awards to a selected group of finalists
