Book of Great Teachers
The Book of Great Teachers honors outstanding teaching faculty who have demonstrated sustained excellence in the classroom. To be nominated, professors and former professors must have served on the Purdue faculty for at least 10 years.
The book is actually a bronze and walnut wall display located in the west foyer of the Purdue Memorial Union. It was first unveiled in 1999 with 225 former and current faculty honorees. Names have been added to the book during ceremonies in 2003 and 2008.
