The ITSI initiative, supported by the State of Indiana and the
Indiana association for the Education of Young Children

The need for high quality child care, education, and early intervention services for Indiana children birth to 3 years has increased dramatically in the past 20 years. Yet the preparation of professionals who are qualified to plan and supervise services for infants and toddlers has lagged behind.
Young brothers

Purdue University and Indiana University are working in partnership with the State of Indiana and the Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children and other organizations to promote sharing and development of new resources for Indiana professionals who work with infants and toddlers—the Infant-Toddler Specialists of Indiana.

The purpose of the ITSI Initiative is to enhance existing resources and the professional identity of Infant-Toddler Specialists in Indiana. The initiative has created an ongoing statewide professional development network of Infant-Toddler specialists—community leaders providing high quality services to infants, toddlers, and their families.

If you have a leadership role in a program serving infants and toddlers in Indiana (birth to 3 years) and their families, this initiative is
for you!
