Spring 2009 Updates:

  • Anthony Cawdron will again be teaching the HTM 31700, Business Etiquette course. It will be offered during the 1st eight-weeks of the semester. It is one credit hour.
  • Carl Behnke will again be offering the HTM 39800 Cuisine and Culture Abroad class during Spring Break. This year's destination is Portugal. The title of the course is Cuisine and Culture of Southern Europe. There will be class times before and after the Spring Break trip experience. It is three credit hours. An override will be entered into the MyPurdue system before or during each student's one-on-one session with a HTM Student Services advisor.
  • Dr. Adler has developed a Conversational Spanish class for Spring 2009. The number is HTM 39900. An email has gone out about the course and the criteria. There is a selection process for those who are interested in the course. The course will be three credit hours.
  • Students who are going on the Winter Break (December 27 thru January 10) trip/course to Dubai will register for SA 10201. An override in the MyPurdue system will need to be given. The exact system procedure is being developed. Finalizing the registration steps will be done during each student's one-on-one registration session with an HTM Student Services advisor.
  • Students who plan to Study Abroad for Spring 2009 need to check out the HTM Study Abroad website; CFS Study Abroad website, and the Purdue Study Abroad website. Review the check list on the HTM Study Abroad site (first link). Students who plan or have been accepted in to the Study Abroad Program for Spring 2009 need to obtain the courses available for the semester. The possible courses can be found on the specific school website or often times copies of course offerings are available in the Purdue Study Abroad office (Young 105). The students need to set up an appointment with Susan Walters. For the meeting, the student should bring the Study Abroad form from Young 105 (or the web) and available courses offered at the Study Abroad location. Seeing one person will help insure that courses fulfill requirements in a consistent way.
