DESCRIPTION

The program, which is offered within HTM, will prepare students for a career in the foodservice industry's supply side. Students completing this program will have the opportunity to begin careers in facility design, sales, manufacturing, and distribution. Students with an aptitude in technical sales, engineering, and management will learn how the proper application and integration of equipment and supplies plays an integral role in the success of a foodservice operation. Students also gain hands-on experience through an additional internship in the supply side of the Foodservice industry. This program is based on the current foodservice emphasis program. The HTM faculty and staff are committed to serving the needs of students, industry, and science, as we focus our talents and resources to meet the future.

Supported by NAFEM, this program was developed to provide more opportunities for networking with major players in this industry and to create additional avenues for potential employment upon graduation. For example, the extra internship opportunity in the supply side of the industry will provide students with valuable experience and help them make additional contact within the industry. The added experience and contacts will increase students' career options and allow them to choose a position that best suits their personal and professional interests. Through this program you'll gain a different perspective of industry and discover ways to use your talents that you may have never considered.
