The Avery Foodservice Research Laboratory is located in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Purdue University. It is located on the first floor of Stone Hall, close to the department's foodservice and dining operations. These facilities support a full-service restaurant and a cafeteria, both of which are open to the public and are available to support consumer research. The laboratory is equiped to function as a test kitchen. In addition, it has the capability to do microbial analysis as well a number of different chemical analyses. A wide array of sensors allows heat, humidity, pressure, and power consumption to be measured and tracked. Recently, an area was added for the developement, distibution, and analysis of surveys-based research.

In addition to the facilities available on the first floor of Stone Hall, mamy other capabilities exist in numerous other departments at Purdue University. Avery-based researchers have access to, and cooperative relationships with, many partner groups across the University such as Food Science, Nutrition, Animal Science, and certain engineering disciplines. Other offices attached to the Industry Technical Assistance program are also available as appropriate.
