On November 17, a record amount of Indiana legislators, their staff, and key decision makers gathered at the Statehouse at the annual Family Impact Seminar. Speakers Jeanne Hogarth, program manager for consumer education and research at the Federal Reserve Board, Washington D.C., and Melissa Koide, deputy director for the Asset Building Program, New America Foundation, Washington, D.C., informed attendees of the financial burdens that Indiana families are currently facing, while also providing multiple policy options that have been beneficial to other states facing the same issues.
