The Department of Child Development and Family Studies is located
in two buildings on Purdue's West Lafayette campus. The Child
Development and Family Studies
Building is located at State Street and Gates Road, and Fowler
House is located at State Street and Intramural Drive.
These two buildings provide facilities for learning,
discovery, and engagement efforts and are devoted exclusively to
CDFS activities. Each building has offices for faculty, staff,
and
graduate assistants plus classrooms, lecture rooms, research laboratories,
and computer rooms for graduate student use. The CDFS Building
has
9,598 square feet and Fowler House has 18,243 square feet assignable
to department functions.
One-way mirrors, audio equipment, and videotaping
capabilities are available for each classroom of the Child Development
Laboratory School and the Ben & Maxine Miller Child Learning Center, and for each
of the therapy rooms of the Individual, Couple, and Family Therapy
Clinic.
The Undergraduate Advising Office and the office of the graduate
secretary are located in Fowler House. The department head's office
is located in the CDFS Building.
